BBAC funds Bader program

September 2009

Bank of Beirut and the Arab Countries (BBAC) recently funded one of the six scholarships distributed by the Bader Young Entrepreneurs Program. The $20,000 endowed scholarship was granted to Salim Hachem allowing him to offset the expenses of studying Business Administration at the American University of Beirut (AUB).
The nominated student received ”Bader-BBAC” scholarship from Sheikh Ghassan Assaf,  Chairman & General Manager of BBAC represented by Mr. Jihad Njeim, Manager of the Human Resources Department and the deputy Robert Fadel, President of ”Bader”, and Secretary General Mr. Salah Osseiran during a special ceremony held on this occasion. The collaboration of BBAC with “Bader” falls under the bank's strategy for providing support to the youth through education and developing services enabling them to obtain higher levels of university education. This activity proves the deep conviction BBAC has in the high skills and competences of Lebanese youth, and their importance for the future of Lebanon following the Bank’s slogan: “Care works better than words”.
