BBAC's donation to Akhdar Dayem fund campaign
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program (CSR), BBAC, represented by its Sheikh Ghassan T. Assaf Chairman and General Manager accompanied with Mr. Ramzi Abi Fares, Head of Marketing and Business Development, visited Minister Ziad Baroud, Minister of Interior Affairs, and donated $100,000 to "Akhdar Dayem" fund campaign; being BBAC's share in reforesting Lebanon's depleted forests. Through such donations, BBAC aims at providing the country with healthy environment that serve in line with the bank bank's slogan "Care works better than words".
BBAC sponsors LAU model UN
For the third year in a raw BBAC s.a.l. the Bank of Beirut and the Arab Countries has sponsored the Global Classrooms/LAU Model UN. The ceremony took place at the LAU campus, under the patronage of the Culture Minister Tammam Salam and in the presence of a crowd of deputies, ambassadors, professors and interested personalities.
BBAC recently launched the “BBAC green fund” for a very inspirational cause. BBAC is fundraising to donate a financial contribution to “Akhdar Dayem” Campaign launched by the Ministry of Interior Affairs. For this cause BBAC has opened two accounts 0002-4377711-201 in LBP and 0002-437711-202 in USD for donation at any BBAC branch because what you send out will come back to you.
BBAC has launched its annual mechanic guide for 2008. The guide is a detailed schedule which includes all the required information about the mechanic procedures, the engagement date per class and its relative charges. This schedule applies to all private owned vehicles, cars and motorcycles.
For the second year in a row, BBAC has taken part as the main local sponsor for the 3rd global classrooms LAU Model UN high school conference. Global Classrooms is a program of the United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA). Through Global Classrooms, students study through 8 training sessions global issues and take part in Model United Nations – an academic experience that allows participants to role-play as ambassadors from UN member states.
BBAC has announced the launch of a new website to assist teenagers and young adults gain knowledge and complete understanding of banking products and services along with a comprehensive and up-to-date source of news and feature stories.The website is directly accessible at youth.bbacbank.com and www.bbacbank.com/youth.

For the third consecutive year, BBAC has taken part as the only sponsor for the “AUB Virtual Stock Exchange Competition”. BBAC was present during the opening of the event and in the end of the event on the 9th of May, 2007 at the West Hall at AUB. During the ceremony BBAC distributed five awards for the top five winners for a total of 3,000$.

BBAC s.a.l has released a new VISA card in collaboration with the Children Cancer Center in Lebanon, labeled BBAC CCCL card.There are several characteristics to this card, in addition to being internationally accepted as a credit card, the revenues of this card go to the Children Cancer Center in Lebanon.
BBAC and the Capital Insurance & Reinsurance Co.(Member of BBAC group), in collaboration with the AUB - FEA SRC (Faculty of Engineering & Architecture - Student Representatives Committee) organized the annual AUB Rally paper on the 10th & 11th of May. 42 cars with several university students participated. Their departure was at noon from AUB campusand the tour was set up to cover all the Lebanese territory. On Sunday, at the last phase, all participants took part in an exciting treasure hunt rally game.During a party celebration, Mr. Elie Francis, senior marketing manager at BBAC distributed cash prizes for the total amount of LBP 5,500,000. The winners of the rally included Rany Daher, Philippe Khoury and Nabil Hajj Chehadé, along with their teams. In addition, a draw was held on an air ticket Beirut-London-Beirut with British Airways.
